Young collegiate scholars love to buy crap they can’t take home over summer break, or move into their next dormitory situation. To help relieve them of their gently used miscellanea, the city of Austin’s partnered with UT-Austin to collect donations via MoveOutATX. If you’re a student, check out austintexas.gov/moveout for info on offloading your not-so-valuables; if you’re a citizen shopper, hit up the parking lot between 6:30-8pm to browse various home furnishings and appliances. Two pieces per person is the limit, but a furniture set – dining table & chairs, nightstand pairs, matching seats – only count as one item. – James Scott
