Let the Halloween movie marathons begin. The crossover between A Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises may be a hat on a hat, but that’s the magical absurdity of this 2003 slasher. Freddy Krueger is trapped in hell, weakened from his defeat in Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, so he conjures up Jason Voorhees as a final attempt to regain his power. But as Jason starts his killing spree, a rivalry begins between these killers and ends, unsurprisingly, in bloodshed. This is the last installment in both original franchises and the final – so far – appearance by Robert Englund as Freddy. – Felicity Guajardo
