Fragile Vessels: A Gathering & Exhibition on Extreme Heat
Austin summers keep getting longer and hotter, but the heat doesn't land the same way in every neighborhood. Fragile Vessels is a two-day gathering and exhibition that makes that reality visible, personal, and shared, through film, zines, painting, and installation.
It's called a gathering on purpose. Before it's an exhibition, it's an invitation: for Austin residents to sit together and talk about what extreme heat has actually meant in their lives. The event includes original commissioned artwork, a film screening, a zine workshop, and educational conversations with community.
