Part of a National Day of Action to push back against the Trump administration’s attempts to rig voting maps here and in other red states, this peaceful Austin rally at the state capitol building will feature speakers Dolores Huerta, Beto O’Rourke, Greg Casar, and Lloyd Doggett, plus performances by Gina Chavez and Brigitte Bandit. The lineup is expected to expand – stay on top of it here – but the intention isn’t changing: to signal loudly, all across the nation, Americans’ displeasure with the way the country is being run and the way our democratic ideals are being subverted by those in power, who have demonstrated they’ll do just about anything to hold onto that power.
