Falasteen Book Club – Ghassan Kanafani: The Revolution of 1936-1939 In Palestine

The Austin-based Falasteen Book Club started in 2024 with the goal of immersing more people in the history, storytelling, and political science – among many other topics – of Palestine. This session’s pick by political activist, writer, and artist Ghassan Kanafani analyzes a particular period (1936-1939) of mass uprisings against Zionism and British colonialism by delving into economic, political, and cultural circumstances of the time.
