Visual trickery is the parlance of magic, mysticism, and film. But aren’t those all sort of similar realms? Film and art lends itself perfectly to the unknown, reveling in the creation of one thing that appears as something else. Mexico City’s Fabiola Torres-Alzaga explores those thresholds, creating art that revels in the reveal, celebrates concealment, and loves the liminal spaces between what’s real and what’s presented to the audience.
