Butcher Bear and Soundfounder’s Exploded Drawing takes over dadaLab’s studio for its 65th session. The remarkably prolific Daedelus, the creator of at least 20 full-length projects, emerged alongside Madlib, Busdriver, and Flying Lotus in the vibrant Los Angeles underground music scene. After completing an artist-in-residency with SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) at the University of California, Berkeley, they produced their ambitious album, Xenopocene, in 2023. Also performing, Alex DL and Ben G. R. team up to debut their smart bedroom-rave collaborative set. Little Jack Heart Attack’s breathy house (the too-brief “Stomach”) is a smash. – Kahron Spearman
