West African dance to LIVE drumming — every Monday! Ready to move? Join Lannaya Drum & Dance for a fast-paced traditional West African dance class. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned mover, all levels are welcome. Learn iconic Guinean dance basics, movement vocabulary, short dances, and a few call-and-response songs — all taught to live drumming. Class begins with a warmup, breakdown of steps, then we dance — with musical breaks from the drummers guiding every change in movement. Mami Sayon Camara leads the class, with Mohamed Sylla on drums — both Guinean artists.
