It’ll be an evening of late Nineties alt-rock radio staples with power-pop hooks, as the Texas tour dates uniting Eve 6 of “Inside Out” fame with local legends Fastball (“The Way”) hit our own Nineties alt-rock institution, Emo’s. Both bands have remained active, consistently releasing new material and playing shows. California grunge popsters Eve 6 issued Dream Fist in 2024, while our heroes Fastball dropped their Sonic Ranch the same year. Dust off your Doc Martens and catch two bands whose songs have outlasted the era that made them, Fastball in particular still hitting with the same melodic precision. – Tim Stegall
