Following his duo album with trumpeter Mike Sailors and nearly 15 years of weekly shows with Church on Monday, Elias Haslanger presents Legacy, the first of two new albums this year from Austin’s premier saxophonist. As might be implied by the title, Legacy pays tribute to the mentors from whom Haslanger learned over the decades, from Maynard Ferguson in New York to COM co-founder Dr. James Polk in Austin. Haslanger will be joined here by Sailors, pianist Andy Langham, bassist Ryan Hagler, and drummer Daniel Dufour, all of whom performed on the album. Two shows, at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. – Michael Toland
