Any eagle sighting is rare, but in the last decade, the Eagles of Death Metal flew low to the ground if at all. The 20th anniversary of these high desert Californians’ sophomore full-length Death by Sexy proves a summer peach (!) of a reason for a resurrection from the 20th century glam rock survivors. Second of only four studio LPs since 2004 bow Peace Love Death Metal, their landmark follow-up two years later spawned electro glam for a new age, a futuristic roots rock stripped down to some sort of digital rockabilly (“Cherry Cola”). Fourth date of a domestic warm-up for a European fall trek, this stopover from Jesse Hughes (v/g), Dustin Douglas (b), Scott Shiflett (g), and Leah Bluestein (d) is prime. – Raoul Hernandez
