But the time is now and the way is clear: You gotta see this pre-Code comedy! The last of the Marxes made under Paramount Pictures, this flick is also Zeppo’s farewell – the story of fictitious country Freedonia’s president Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho) getting in a tiff with the Sylvanian ambassador that leads to out-and-out war. Zeppo plays Firefly’s secretary, while Chico and Harpo are Sylvanian spies who blunder their secret mission. – James Scott
