Did we spot Scott Telles at the Sex Pistols last weekend? As Levitation raged, the UK anarchists staged their first-ever ATX show separately, drawing in the ST 37 bandleader, who remains a ubiquitous live music presence locally. Reaching the four-decade mark in 2027, his homegrown space rock legacy could constitute its own local psych fest, Telles having mapped more celestial landmarks than mad mogul Elon Musk. Last year’s solar flare LP Ballardesque continued exploring where no band’s gone: the outer limits of Telles’ bass fuzz, Lisa Cameron’s world-shifting drums, and Joel Crutcher’s six-string astrology. Houston noise legends Rusted Shut support alongside Missouri legacies Drunks With Guns and future ATX mythics Blank Hellscape. – Raoul Hernandez
