Glitter grunge tour de force Dossey and garage-punk fivepiece CorMae are set to kick off their pint-sized Texas tour next week with a forecast of ringing ears and nonstop headbanging. Homegrown starlet Dossey drives romantic dark pop with a nu-disco twist, bringing a rose-colored tint to powerhouse melodies and unrelenting vocals. Alongside them, gritty outfit CorMae anchors scrappy egg punk with the snarling edge of Nineties riot grrrl to forge a raw, hook-driven rhythm with a DIY bite. Explosive breakneck rockers Lola Tried round out the bill, carving out an alt-rooted strain of hard rock not for the faint of heart. – Miranda Garza
