Dolly Parton birthday tribute w/ Paige Plaisance, Darci Carlson, Juliet McConkey, Ruby Dice, more

It’s the queen’s birthday, and we must all pay tribute. Dolly is the closest the U.S.A. will ever come to a mutually agreed-upon royal, and Austin is showing out this weekend at Sagebrush to wish her a happy entrance into her eighth decade, with hopefully more to come. Don your tallest wig for the look-alike contest or dance to covers of her many hits by our own hometown hitters Paige Plaisance, Darci Carlson, Valley Flower, and of course, Austin’s own voluptuous matriarch, Brigitte Bandit. Jubilation extends till midnight, and it all goes to a good cause, with Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) benefiting. – Lina Fisher
