A24’s first musical, adapted by Seinfeld and Borat writer/director Larry Charles from an off-Broadway musical called Fucking Identical Twins, was well-received but still flew under the mainstream radar when it premiered in 2023 – in other words, ripe for revisiting on the indie circuit now. Boasting a cast featuring Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, and the screen debut of Megan Thee Stallion, it’s a twisted sort of Parent Trap, wherein two misogynist businessman twins separated at birth come together to reunite their parents. If you’re a musical fan who also loves raunch, you’ll want to tune in to what Variety called a “sweet spot for folks who want filth and subversion with their show tunes.” – Lina Fisher
