Dick Chalmers Music Venue Program benefit w/ Elijah Delgado, nolo, Terra Cognita, the Nimbus
In Valhalla’s last breaths, the beloved rock venue is making as big of an impact as it can, celebrating 17 years on Red River and giving back to the community that’s cherished its wraparound bar and storied stage. On Tuesday, songwriter Elijah Delgado, fresh off his ACL Fest debut, will join fellow guitar rockers nolo, psych-influenced quartet Terra Cognita, and glitch-rock experimenters the Nimbus to raise money for SIMS’ Music Venue Program, named after the Duke of Red River himself, Dick Chalmers. All net ticket proceeds will benefit the fund supporting mental health and addiction services for venue staff. – Caroline Drew
