No stranger to the walls of Wally Workman, Diana Greenberg has been exploring shape and structure for over a decade. Her often-neutral canvases offer as much insight as the figures implied by the paint (and other media) on them. Ranging from floral arrangements to highway overpasses, Greenberg’s vivid brushstrokes offer a sense of energy that’s both kinetic and potential, in turn offering a sense of stillness and the possibility of movement. The effect, however, is almost always a sense of calm that draws you in. – James Renovitch
