Defend the Dream Foundation’s Inaugural Derrick Johnson Celebrity Waiter Night

Derrick Johnson will host his inaugural Celebrity Waiter Night on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin. Presented by H-E-B and Favor, the event benefits Johnson’s Defend the Dream Foundation, which supports literacy and education for underserved youth. Joined by Mack Brown, Vince Young, and other notable guests, Johnson will raise funds for DJ’s Discovery Dens—library renovations that have transformed 16 schools and donated 25,000 books. In Austin, seven renovated libraries now serve more than 2,800 students annually.
