Although we all started off making art as kids, scribbling with crayons and slathering paper with tempera paint, not many of us continue the practice into adulthood. But RichesArt’s Collage and Connect was designed to prove that while you may have put down your paintbrush, you’re still an artist! At this workshop, local artist Steven Ecker will lead adults through the process of making a collage with the theme “Life Magazine,” which will entail making a mess and listening to music while you disconnect from technology and connect with your inner artist. Bring only your curiosity and some kind words for your fellow collagists, as the evening will conclude with pumping each other up by writing what you like on the back of the other collages. – Kat McNevins
