Join us for an informative and lively discussion with local artist Sara lee Hughes. Hughes's paintings are representational narratives influenced by her growing up in Texas during the 1970’s and 80’s with divorced parents.
A common theme she explores is our desire as human beings to belong to something larger and the actions that we take, singularly or as a group to accomplish our “fitting in”. Hughes pulls inspiration from her personal experience, cultural traditions, history and our present cultural/societal/political environment.
