Coding 4 All: Transforming Data Into Melodies

There’s plenty of math and science involved in music, and it’s seemingly endless and universal. When we meet extraterrestrial life, maybe we’ll communicate with them through music. If anyone would know how to do that, it would be composer and researcher Dom Vicinanza, who’s made music with data from geysers in Yellowstone and NASA’s Voyager, aiming to build bridges that communicate complex scientific ideas. Hear from him at this engaging and inspiring talk that is strictly first come, first served – so be punctual! – Kat McNevins
