Co-Lab's 18th Birthday Bash & Benefit Concert w/ J'cuuzi, Mugger, Water Damage, BRUCE, more
In 2018, arts and performance facilitator Co-Lab took the ultimate plunge for a grassroots nonprofit: They bought land. As the projected complex manifests brick by brick, the programming there on Glissman Road curates show by show. Throwing them a fundraising gala of sorts, Hotel Vegas donates its lifeblood – alt-Austin sound – on two stages. Outside: sound explorers Water Damage (7pm), punk hardcores Mugger (8pm), KUT Festival stealers J’cuuzi (9pm). Indoors: Lockhart 1990s rock classicists Vanna Black (10pm), ex-Calliope Musicals frontwoman Carrie Fussell’s art-rock project BRUCE (11pm), and techno four-tet Dream Days (midnight).
