Flick Clique, a classic cinema appreciation club for teens, partners with The Baron’s Men for an inspired three-film series spotlighting lesser-seen Shakespearean adaptations, in a marvelous outdoor setting. First up: Orson Welles’ 1966 Chimes at Midnight, also known as Falstaff. Directing, starring, and adapting, Welles plucked text from five of the Bard’s works for this portrait of the complicated relationship between Prince Hal and the titular, fun-loving father figure, that “misleader of youth.” Welles counted it his greatest work, and that’s saying something. The musical Kiss Me Kate screens May 4, with Kurosawa’s masterful Throne of Blood closing the series out on June 1. All proceeds benefit The Baron’s Men Relocation Fund. – Kimberley Jones
