Poet and performer Chibbi released his spoken-word album in January, a collection centered around subjects like belonging, survival, lineage, love, and more from a queer and pro-immigrant perspective. He now performs that album live for one night only and takes over the Vortex stage to issue “intimate confession to communal prayer to anthems of reclamation” so that audiences can “witness not just what a voice can say, but what it can hold, and what we, collectively, can do.” This is a multimedia production, so expect not only Chibbi’s vocal performance but also music and video elements. – James Scott
