When birds of a feather flock together, at least in jazz, magic often happens. Hopefully we’ll hear that sparkle as this organ trio hits Parker Jazz. Organist Brian Charette regularly sweeps jazz polls with a sound as rooted in Sixties soul jazz as it is in contemporary sounds. Guitarist Yotam Silberstein similarly respects tradition while staying current via stints with John Patitucci, Ivan Lins, and the late David Sanborn. Drummer Steve Pruitt logs time with everyone from Mike Stern and Eddie Gomez to Snarky Puppy and Guthrie Govan. The trio wraps up its national tour with three dates in Texas, of which Austin is the first. – Michael Toland
