This will surprise all the Chronicle readers to know but I must say it: I love the Austin Public Library. I also believe parents and guardians should introduce children under their care to the library’s glory early and often. So why not drop in this coming Monday at either 10am or 5pm for an art tour around the Downtown library location? Citizens 10 years and older get a staff-guided look through Central’s many art exhibits both permanent and rotating, from the second floor Gallery currently featuring beautiful bead art by Moyo Okedji to the sixth floor Living Room where art by APL staffers hangs. There’s no better time than now to make art a part of your schedule. – James Scott
