Austin Public Library has been celebrating its 100th birthday all year with special events at all the branches, but this one will surely take the cake. With over 30 things to do at the library’s stately Central location Downtown, you’ll be able to enjoy the party whether you swing by for a bit or stay the entire run from 10am to 5pm. Austin PBS brings family-friendly fun, KUT brings its ATXplained project, and Austin History Center hosts a collage activity; five musical acts entertain, including Blowcomotion and Sriyam; L’Oca d’Oro’s chef Jess offers a cooking demo – and that’s just a few of the highlights. Get the full rundown online or just stop by and take in all the library has to offer as it celebrates 100 years. – Kat McNevins
