Multi-hyphenate #lifehacks maestro Thor Harris, known for rhythmically driving Swans and beyond, ringleads an oscillating cast of locally sourced organic instrumentation. Joining Thor & Friends’ voyages in minimalism, Trouble in Mind Records act Smoke Bellow tours second album Open for Business. Adding a percussionist to the Baltimore-via-Australia duo, the record fixates playfully on drum and bass synthesis in tranquil waves of new age and Krautrock. Newly performing act Exercise threads weighted post-punk elements with tantalizing levity, heard on “A Bug’s Life” off a self-titled 2021 LP.
