Screening series Queer Cinema Lost and Found finds us in Seventies Japan for this cinematic chapter with what AFS calls the spiritual offspring of Funeral Parade of Roses and Bonnie and Clyde. Potent stuff! As with many post-Summer of Love flicks, this road-trip story digs into the unkept promise of Sixties counterculture through a young criminal couple’s race away from the police. Queer credentials get met by the androgynous Giko (Miyabi Ichijô), who declares themselves “not a man or a woman.
