Nothing says “Happy holidays!” like an evening of ripping hardcore punk of various textures. The totally excellent Bosh, who already have a few EPs under their collective belts, is the crew with new material to celebrate, their savage work a mix of sludge, grindcore, and a feeling of senses dulled and rage turned outward. With Mouthing, whose hellacious screaming recalls being dragged into Hell; Unnecessary Roughness, perhaps the closest thing to orthodox hardcore on this bill (beware the mosh pit for them); Pain God and its double bass/drum powerviolence; Mallories’ draggy sludge; and Blastochrist.
