Here’s a sales pitch for ya: What if a movie combined the voyeurism of Rear Window, the mystery of Vertigo, and the splashy Eighties schlock of a Frankie Goes to Hollywood music video? You’d certainly have to see it to believe it, and see it you shall with Brain De Palma’s 1984 neo-noir. While the box office at time of release wasn’t exactly boffo, the movie did score star Melanie Griffith a Golden Globes Best Supporting Actress nom for her portrayal of erotic actress Holly Body.
