Blues Artist Alan Haynes Headlines Durawa Tuesdays
Blues artist Alan Haynes headlines Durawa Tuesdays with the Ernie Durawa band at De Nada Cantina. Playing since the 70s, his style is a soulful mix of Texas blues that includes various genres including jazz and country. Influenced by B.B. King, Haynes joined the Texas Boogie Band in the late 70s that was the house band at theTexas Opry Band and later led his own band, "Alan Haynes and the Stepchildren. In 1980 he was voted "Best Blues Band" by the "Music City Austin--Music Poll and eventually was the house band at Antone's for 6 years.
