On her second album as Blondshell, If You Asked for a Picture, Sabrina Teitelbaum continues to explore the ins and outs of being a twentysomething, which can be a much more exhausting time in one’s life than folks in middle age care to remember. Teitelbaum is an interesting case as an artist who started in a pop vein and ditched that persona for the more authentically her sounds of vintage 1990s indie-as-genre folk-rock – her first album felt like uncut catharsis and a statement of purpose. This one is a little more emotionally guarded and verbally direct (“T&A”), a little more wary of the dudes who can't measure up. – Joe Gross
