This summer, the Blanton is hanging its monthly art party around the idea of a specific dance. Expect swing and the two-step later this season, but tango dips first, with lessons by Esquina Tango and live music by Hora Once Tango Project. Also on the docket: storytime and a bubble rodeo for the kids, “plein air” drawing, expert explorations of Tammy Nguyen’s paintings and major exhibition “American Modernism From the Charles Butt Collection,” food from Yapa Empanadas, and much more. It’s free for Blanton members (first 200 also get free popsicles, among other perks); $20 for ages 18 & up, $10 ages 6-17, and free for kiddos 5 and under. – Kimberley Jones
