Two decades after their gospel-tinged left turn Howl, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club bring the smoke back to church on this anniversary tour, resurrecting old devils with leather jacket swagger and preacher-man stomp. The deluxe Howl reissue adds archival fire to the celebration, but expect more than a nostalgia trip: BRMC still pulses with fuzzed-out salvation. UK collective Humanist opens with brooding, cinematic post-punk led by Rob Marshall, featuring Peter Hayes (of BRMC) on their new LP and tour. Think widescreen rock for the end times, shot on Super 8 and soaked in existential dread. – Tim Stegall
