Oh, the fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex! Did such a creature ever imagine their massive skulls might one day be ooo’d and awww’d at by younglings ages 6-10? Well, maybe that terrible lizard didn’t, but the minds behind Austin Public Library’s summer reading programing did! Local paleontologist BK Bones – great name – brings a life-size T. rex skull replica to their dino workshop where young kids get the scoop on how this big guy used to live. The library does recommend keeping away any kiddos not school-age as there may be “slightly scary themes,” like how those giant teeths used to rip and tear. – James Scott
