Bilingual Dinosaurs

I don’t wish to hear from humans anymore. From now on, I’ll only be listening to sauro- and therapods with the voices of cultural leaders, activists, professors, immigrant artists, writers, musicians, and paleontologists. That’s the concept behind augzoo’s new Bilingual Dinosaurs! production, made using their Overland Method with writing from Michael Mares Mendoza, direction from Celeste Guzman Mendoza, and interviews from participants delivered by digital dinosaurs chosen by the speakers themselves. Focus in this staged reading centers on “why beings migrate, what forces movement, and how language, memory, and identity shape survival – across deep time and into the present.” – James Scott
