Looking away from this stage for so much as a second risks missing something huge. Four of Austin’s biggest and most beloved performance personalities play one after another at this KUTX-sponsored show benefiting DAWA. First up, soulful indie pop star KindKeith serenades with sentimental party-fusion songwriting, followed by chaos rap duo haha Laughing’s explosively earnest hyperpop experimentation. Glam punk collective J’cuuzi’s tentacled costuming and theatrical DJing never fails to enthrall a crowd, and art-rock act Big Bill closes out the night with their cathartically cheeky post-punk politics.
