“Multiphase,” the centerpiece of Bayonne’s new album Filters, feels almost classical. Of course, the looping melody from the Austin Music Award-winning electronic artist comes from a synthesizer, but it bubbles roundly on record like the plucked strings of a harp. Not to say the song plays quietly, or dated; Roger Sellers has never forgotten the pop in his dream pop, and Filters glistens with lush, hummable hooks, more present than ambient. Before his ongoing tour continues across the U.S., Sellers returns home to play Mohawk’s big stage with fellow Austin synthpoppers CLUB COMA.– Carys Anderson
