Austin Reggae Festival day two w/ Original Koffee, Tribal Seeds, HIRIE, more
When: Sat., April 18, 12 p.m. 2026
If one’s staging a sunsplash weekend, which this brand christened on Auditorium Shores in 1994, they could hardly present a better headliner than Stephen Marley. Consider this year’s Austin Reggae Festival both ON and LIT. Born Stephen Robert Nesta Marley in Wilmington, Delaware, 1972, where his father Bob stayed off-and-on with his grandmother Cedella Booker, the nine-time Grammy winner successfully integrated rap and hip-hop into the Marley Dynasty. Three days on Town Lake vibing to Jamaican superstars including Steel Pulse (Friday) and Spanish Town, Jamaica, prodigy Mikayla “Original Koffee” Simpson (Saturday) will take you higher, to cite Sly Stone. Kingston’s finest include Jesse Royal, Protoje, and Zion Marley, scion of Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley. – Raoul Hernandez
