Austin Psych Fest kickoff w/ Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Farmer's Wife, Monsterwatch, Gus Baldwin & the Sketch [outside]
When: Thu., May 7, 7 p.m. 2026
Los Angeles fivepiece Frankie and the Witch Fingers are multihyphenates, but not in the Broadway sense. Psych-punk, garage-pop, prog-funk – the self-described shapeshifters treat genres like a costume change, morphing between albums and even songs. Whatever version enters the stage (2025's Trash Classic leans a lot on New Wave and post-punk), it's guaranteed to be high-octane, lick-laden, and cheeky enough to not take itself too seriously. Locals Farmer's Wife and Gus Baldwin & the Sketch open this Austin Psych Fest kickoff show, alongside Seattle threepiece Monsterwatch. – Abby Johnston
