This lakeside festival returns for its 26th year with a full day of dances, music, vendors, and, of course, boat racing. Co-hosted by the Lunar Foundation and Asian American Cultural Center, the event will open with performances from local groups like Austin Taiko and Texas Dragon/Lion Dance Team, followed by an eye-dotting ceremony on the dock before the races begin with more than 20 teams competing for the top spot. Visitors can browse food and drink vendors, explore educational booths and galleries, and enter for a chance to win artist Zachary Hsieh’s 40-foot dragon boat painted live at the event. (Good luck strapping that to your car roof or bike.) Those not looking to spend are encouraged to volunteer for the event. – Rachel N. Madison
