As we barrel toward the Nov. 3 election, it’s time to get serious about getting to know City Council candidates. This forum in particular will home in on one of the most important issues facing Austin – housing and the future of housing policy as decided by our future Council members. Hosted by Austin Housing Coalition, AIA Austin, and HousingWorks Austin, the forum will give candidates running in districts 1, 3, 5, 8, and 9 the opportunity to wonk out on affordability, displacement, the unhoused population, and more. That’s a lot to cram into three hours (5-8pm), so attendees are encouraged to arrive by 4:45pm. – Kimberley Jones
