The Austin African American Book Festival returns for its 20th anniversary, bringing together nationally recognized authors, thought leaders, educators, and readers for a free day of literature, culture, and community at the George Washington Carver Museum and Library.
This year's festival features Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones, Operation HOPE founder John Hope Bryant, bestselling author ReShonda Tate, Austin Poet Laureate Zell Miller III, and dozens of additional authors and exhibitors. Guests can explore author talks, book signings, a Kids Zone, an independent author showcase, and a marketplace featuring local vendors and community organizations.
