ATX Fashion Week Black Designer Showcase

Now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ATX Fashion Week returns to the Domain this weekend with two additional runway shows, weekendlong pop-up shops from clothing, jewelry, and swimwear companies, and this showcase of eight Black fashion designers. Among the participants are elevated men’s leisurewear maker Laurent Flaneur; colorful industry newcomer AXEL; classically influenced made-to-order label Maivans; globe-trotting Midland native Fashion Disorder; and DFW-based travel accessories brand ASPS Luxury. The $50 showcase begins at 8:30pm, but arrive at 7 to see models rep the latest works from Kianya, BUMMI, and other labels at the DISCOVER show for just $15 more. – Carys Anderson
