Artist in Focus: Erik Neimeijer

Unchained.Art Contemporary Gallery launches its new capsule "Artist in Focus" series with Dutch painter & musician Erik Neimeijer, whose vivid, high-energy canvases bridge music and painting. Neimeijer channels the same pulse that fuels his rock-and-roll career into his art. His world is populated by gamblers, bulls, lovers, musicians and tropical dreamers - all rendered in a loose yet unmistakable style that he describes as "somewhere between Walt Disney and Diego Rivera." “I paint like I play,” he says. “Fast, loud, and with love.” The gallery will become a stage of narrative play. Not portraits or scenes but rather painted compositions.
