Andrew Cashen & the Disciples of Creation, Megafauna (single release), Slomo Drags (single release), Transit Method, DJ Dead Flowers [outside]

Singer/guitarist/songwriter Andrew Cashen’s made a substantial name for himself on the local and international garage/punk circuit, mostly via his work with Sabrina Ellis in A Giant Dog and Sweet Spirit. Stepping out front with new band Disciples of Creation, he appears to be weaving a more psychedelic experience, folding folk and soul strains into a lineup including horns and percussion beyond standard rock drumming. The bill’s rounded out with single-release sets from genre-hopping hard rockers Megafauna and Slomo Drags, the equally eclectic Transit Method, and DJ Dead Flowers – keeping butts shaking and minds expanded. – Tim Stegall
