Ah, Halloween weekend: a great time for fears, fright, and fraught family dramas. Because the spookiest thing of all? Failing as a father, of course. Arthur Miller’s All My Sons pokes holes in the bubbly American Dream. It follows war profiteer Joe Keller (played by J. Kevin Smith), whose own hubris bites him in the butt when his sons die in WWII. The shocker? They died from faulty airplane parts Keller willingly sent into the fray. All My Sons opens Filigree Theatre’s “Legacy” themed season, appropriately highlighting what happens when pride goeth before literal falls. – Cat McCarrey
