Aimee Mann has done something rather remarkable for a songwriter who started in the 1980s: She stuck around. From finding an audience beyond the radio in the 1990s to providing iconic musical moments in Paul Thomas Anderson’s classic Magnolia to the Both, her collaboration with Ted Leo, Mann stayed a thoughtful presence for decades.
